The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (National Center for Scientific Research) is a public organization under the responsibility of the French Ministry of Education and Research.
The research performed at the INT tries to bridge the gap between fundamental and clinical research using an integrative neuroscience approach and between levels of organization (from cellular to cognitive levels, and behavior).
The fMRI Centre of Marseille has a long-lasting experience in functional neuroimaging and provides a state-of-the-art platform for fundamental and clinical research in cognitive neuroscience for the research community in Marseille and in France. The fMRI Centre is a research platform of the INT.
CERIMED is an innovative multidisciplinary working environment opened to academics and SME for the development and validation of novel medical imaging techniques and protocols. The CERIMED hosts the new fMRI Centre since 2012.

L’Institut Cerveau et Cognition est une Structure Fédérative de Recherche (SFR) répartie sur deux sites : le campus St Charles et le Centre hospitalo-universitaire de la Timone. Il comprend cinq unités constituantes, deux unités associées et neuf services hospitaliers associés.
L’identité scientifique de la Fédération de Recherche 3C est ainsi adossée à une recherche fondamentale en psychologie cognitive et en neurosciences intégratives—qui s’enrichit de l’approche clinique—et à des techniques extrêmement diverses, depuis celles de la biologie moléculaire jusqu’aux outils impliqués par l’expérimentation humaine et animale en contexte social.
Comprendre le fonctionnement du langage et le modéliser par le rapprochement des connaissances en linguistique, neurosciences, psychologie, médecine et informatique, tel est le projet du BLRI. L'objectif est d'élaborer un modèle générique du traitement du langage et de ses bases cérébrales.
Le BLRI se propose ainsi de contribuer à cette question ambitieuse : comprendre comment l'homme traite le langage jusque dans son fonctionnement cérébral.
